Hey Josh - DD and I are really, really sorry to hear about your grandfather.

The way you described his departure, it was about as positive as it can be. And yet, this is still a sad, painful loss. The part of the story about your grandmother by his side brought a lump to my throat as I read it. The pain she must be experiencing...I'm really sorry.

If there is anything that either DD or I can do to assist you or yours, please don't hesitate to contact us through the site. Again, Josh, our thoughts are with you.

Very comforting to hear, and one of the few voices to be so straightforward about it. Thanks!

[...] One of several major pieces of news dropped yesterday was Electronic Arts’ decision to merge BioWare and Mythic into a singular RPG entity for the publisher, with BioWare at the helm. Mark Jacobs, who had been leading Mythic, has left the company. Mass conspiracy? Trouble at Mythic? Cats and dogs living together? Not so, according to Warhammer: Age of Reckoning producer Josh Drescher and his blog. [...]

I totally copyrighted Biowaaagh first pff!

Glad to hear that (as expected) the doomsayers are totally off the mark and this isn't a "merge studios, fire everyone" cost cutting exercise.

[...] 2) We’re all really excited about working alongside BioWare as part of the MMO/RPG division. While we’ve got a lot of experience ourselves and have learned a lot of lessons (some harder than others), it’s exciting to know we’ll have the folks at BioWare right there with us as we move forward as a company. I’ve been lucky enough to meet Ray and Greg a few times in the past and they are clearly passionate about MMOs and games in general. Their affection for us was very clear today and I think they really made the team feel comfortable and supported. And, for the record, that attitude is nothing new. When we launched, BioWare was the only other studio that sent us something as personal and cool as this.
Dude! You got married!

Congrats from both DD and I. We're really happy for you guys!

Was wondering why you weren't blogging. Never suspected you were dead. Undead? Maybe. But not truly dead.

Probably see you at E3 next week; until then, cheers!
