About
My name is Josh Drescher. I make video games and am thoroughly convinced it’s the best gig in the world. I’ve been in the industry for over a decade and, as a result, can barely remember how to tie a half-Windsor knot.
In addition to various secret/TBA projects, I’ve worked on the following:
As Senior Designer and Producer:
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning – (2008)
Warhammer Online: Land of the Dead – (2009)
As Producer:
Imperator Online – (unreleased, canceled 2005)
As QA and Support Lead:
Dark Age of Camelot – (2001)
Dark Age of Camelot: Shrouded Isles – (2002)
Dark Age of Camelot: Foundations – (2003)
Dark Age of Camelot: Trials of Atlantis – (2003)
Dark Age of Camelot: Catacombs – (2004)
In addition to traditional design and production roles, I have worked closely with Marketing departments and have acted as one of the main voices and public representatives of various studio franchises and products ranging from Warhammer Online to the classic Ultima Online series. I’ve made regular appearances on radio and television as well as “traditional” and online media coverage.
I have spoken and presented all over the world, including E3, PAX, SDCC, Games Convention (Leipzig), Igromir (Russia) and numerous additional trade and industry shows across North America, Europe and Asia. I am a regular lecturer and guest advisor for the George Mason University department of Game Design.
I studied political science and philosophy in college. I narrowly avoided law school.
A CV is available upon request, though if I wanted you to see it, I’d probably have sent it to you by now. Please contact me via my gmail address: joshdrescher@
